so, by my count, it’s been around 21 months since i updated this blog, and i think its high time i owe you guys an explanation
i think that this blog started updating less frequently around spring because i was busy with school, and tennis, and basically everything, but i think that i finally stopped when i started realizing that i didnt have time to run this blog as i’d like to
what i mean is, i started realizing that a lot of fanart i used to see was disappearing - their artists had deleted their pixiv accounts, and i saw posts about how to read a bit of japanese that told you about the artists’ wishes (like “do not repost onto western social media sites”)
and i also saw that people were taking the time to contact the artists and very specifically ask for permission, and i realized that i didn’t have time to go through those nuances, and that i didn’t want to continue with what i was doing now that i know what i should be doing
i just want to make it very clear, though, that im not judging anyone who shares fanart on tumblr, because this is just my personal opinion and how i personally like to do things (and besides, i don’t know if the artist has already granted permission on their page or anything, you know?)
so yeah! that’s why this blog is so dead, and i’m sorry it took me this long to explain things. there are a lot of blogs that love hong kong though, so its not like my discontinuation will have any effect, really. anyway, i wont be deleting this blog or any posts, and if you want to follow a blog of mine that’s actually active, it’s glasspudding.tumblr.com! i hope this is somewhat coherent, because i’m sick right now, but thanks for sticking with me so long, and i wish you all the best!!
